Earl Klugh (born September 16, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan) is a Grammy-winning acoustic guitarist widely associated with smooth jazz, crossover jazz, and instrumental pop.
He’s best known for his clean, bell-like tone and fingerstyle technique on nylon-string guitar, often blending jazz, pop, R&B, and Brazilian influences into a highly melodic style.
Klugh started young—by his teens he was already performing with jazz musicians like Yusef Lateef and later gained exposure through work with George Benson.
