Dirty Loops is a Swedish jazz-fusion/pop trio from Stockholm, formed in 2008. The band consists of Jonah Nilsson, vocals & keyboards; Henrik Linder, bass;
and Aron Mellergård, drums.
They’re widely known for their jaw-dropping musicianship, especially their reharmonized, jazz-fusion covers of pop hits (think Justin Bieber, Adele, Lady Gaga) that went viral online in the early 2010s.
Dirty Loops sit in a pretty wild musical lane, Jazz fusion + funk + pop + gospel + electronic elements;
complex harmony and rhythm, but wrapped in catchy, accessible songs; and virtuosic playing.
They started by uploading covers on YouTube, and
caught the attention of producer David Foster and were signed to Verve/Universal.
After their debut success, they took a hiatus due to creative differences before returning with new material in 2019–2020.
