Estas Tonne

Estas Tonne (born Stanislav Tonne, April 24, 1975, in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) is an internationally touring guitarist often described as a “modern-day troubadour.”

He began playing guitar at age 8 and studied classical music before his family moved to Israel in 1990, where he stopped playing for over a decade.

In 2001, after relocating to New York City, he returned to music, initially performing with violinist Michael Shulman, and eventually evolved into a solo artist traveling the world.

Tonne tours globally, often in unconventional venues (streets, yoga gatherings, spiritual festivals). His performances are frequently improvised, blending classical technique with flamenco, Romani, and ambient influences. He views music as a spiritual and narrative experience, not just entertainment.

He’s collaborated with artists like drummer Michael Shrieve and performed in major venues such as Union Chapel (London) and Royal Theatre Carré (Amsterdam).
